Chapter 36. Sharing Files over the Internet
Built into your Mac are a number of ways to share files with anyone in the world, or with yourself when you are away from your own Mac. If you have a .Mac account, you can put up to 100 megabytes of stuff in your iDisk that other .Mac members can pick up or that you can access from a remote location. Or you can set up a web page with the HomePage feature in .Mac that lets anyone, even Windows users, access certain files in your iDisk. You can even turn on FTP access on your own Mac on your Desktop and people can download files from your Mac using a web browser, and they can download or upload files to you with an FTP program, such as Transmit or Fetch.
