4.1  INTRODUCTION

Power combiners, dividers (splitters), and phase inverters have widespread use in RF applications. Power combiners and splitters are passive devices where signals need to be combined or splitted with required insertion loss, good amplitude, and phase balance. These devices are used in applications, including RF/microwave amplifiers, transmitters and receivers, and antenna-array feed networks [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12].
