This project is the first UK example of the Passive House standard being applied to the refurbishment of a non-domestic building. Passive House design techniques aim to produce comfortable and healthy buildings that use much less energy than a normal building. This building has been made more comfortable while also delivering measured annual energy savings of 80%. It has also become more spacious, usable, accessible and delightful.
