Is the Aviation Industry Ready for Resilience? Mapping Human Factors Assumptions across the Aviation Sector

This research maps out differences in safety perspectives, the Traditional and Resilient, respectively, across the civil aviation industry in Europe and the Americas. We surveyed 705 aviation professionals to determine whether they agreed or disagreed with the human factors and safety assumptions currently dominant in the aviation industry’s tools and methods. The results show variations in perspectives according to the national culture and occupation of the respondent.
