Abstract

Hypothetico-deductive research covers what is largely considered the traditional scientific method—experimentation. Experimentation is one of the strongest methods we have to understand the behavior and response of a system under varied conditions.

This chapter discusses the different aspects of experimental research and how you perform each step in executing an experiment. To demonstrate the ideas, we provide ongoing examples for cyber security research.
