Third Law: Share the Value Created
WHEN YOU FOLLOW THE FIRST TWO LAWS OF BUSINESS combinations, you enter into a relationship that generates new value. But one key to success may still be missing. The relationship combines resources from different owners; that is, some of the resources are owned by your firm, and some are from external parties. None of these resources—neither yours nor theirs—come for free. Each set of resources in the bundle will demand a return, a profit, or a payment. Otherwise, the owners of the resources would not allocate them to the new combination.
