Neorealism, essentially a reformulation of Classical Realism, is a theoretical approach to the world politics that focuses on the relationships among the states in the international system. Neorealism has lent itself to heated debates due to its explanations based on material capabilities and balance of power. Kenneth Waltz, with his pioneering work Theory of International Politics, is regarded as the intellectual father of this theory. Robert J.
