Abstract
Reliability in the presence of hardware faults is an emerging challenge in embedded systems design. The last two decades have seen major academic and industrial research efforts to address this challenge by showing pragmatic and efficient approaches of fault detection and mitigation. These approaches had been implemented at various design levels with an aim of ensuring continued system functionality at low power and performance cost.
