THE INTERVIEW
So you have applied to a studio or a job posting. What can you expect after you have submitted your materials? Well, if the position is still open and you have met the qualifications, you will be contacted through either e-mail or phone to let you know that they are interested in you as a candidate. This process can take less than 1 day, a few weeks, or even several years. One of my former students just posted on Facebook that a company contacted him in January 2012 for a position that he applied for in May 2009. I asked him if the company had given him a heads up or a letter saying that they liked his work and they would keep it on file, and his response was no, he hadn't heard anything from them until January 2012.
