Chapter One: Differential inclusions
Abstract
In this chapter you will find some information on the history of differential inclusions and remarks related to terminology. Readers not interested in the mathematical details of the concepts used in further chapters may skip this chapter. Anyway, in each of the next chapters a short section on differential inclusions is included. The basic definitions are recalled and the properties of differential inclusions and the corresponding reachable sets are discussed. The connection between differential inclusions and control systems is pointed out.
An interpretation in the language of the theory of categories is given. Reversibility and the inverse problem are discussed. We point out that models with uncertainty ...
