The imagery of a foundation is usually built from a strong sturdy material such as concrete, cinder blocks, or brick and mortar. These things are there to provide a solid, supported structure that is intended to be supportive for life. During the lifetime, the structure could have many environmental influences that could compromise, degrade, and erode the foundation.
