Introduction to Business Domain Management

One way to look at a business is to break it down into two parts or domains using the Business Domain Management framework. The two parts are 1. where decisions, actions, and commitments occur, and 2. how we describe what happened from a financial perspective for reporting purposes. Where the business activity happens is the operations and cash or OC Domain. The reporting happens in the Accounting Domain. Our improvement projects will affect what happens in the OC Domain, so this is where we should focus our efforts.
