This is typically where the author tries to guilt someone to praise the ingenuity of the book, restate the introduction, and endorse the work with their seal of approval. This takes a significant time and an embarrassing amount of begging to pull off this feat while only delivering marginal value to the finished work. Skipping the Foreword is a prime example of the Hacker path in action.
