There is an abundance of quality works out there on how to lead a project team. Drive by Daniel H. Pink is a fantastic contribution to the world on how to successfully lead a project team. Likewise, there is also a fair bit of garbage on the subject that makes a weak case on a flawed point backed by junk science, weak correlations, and incredible bullshit. Be wary of any work that de-emphasizes the value of team members or weaves a tale of snake oil and panther piss on how someone you’ve never heard of working for a company you never knew existed turned the organization around by smiling more, making the soda machines free, and starting a dream board.
