Chapter 7. Using the Touch Sensor and the NXT Buttons

Introduction

The touch sensor is a typical pushbutton that can be pressed or not pressed. Usually, we build a simple lever system to touch against the button. An example is the system used in TriBot (see Figure 7.1). The arrangement is used to detect when the robot has bumped into something or when there is an object ahead that is ready for grabbing. These are the two main uses of the touch sensor.
