Chapter 13. Predictive maintenance

In this chapter I discuss the predictive maintenance preconfigured solution of the Azure IoT Suite. This solution uses telemetry data from four simulated sensors to predict the remaining useful life (RUL) of an aircraft engine. A predictive maintenance preconfigured solution works much like a remote monitoring solution but extends that functionality by a regression machine learning model, which predicts the failure of the simulated aircraft’s engine.
