There was an occasion when John Ford was shooting a film and one day, while on location, a couple of the front office executives arrived on the set and asked to speak with Ford. In the consultation that followed they explained they they were very concerned because the production was three days behind schedule and the front office wanted to know what Ford was going to do about the situation.
