What is a good outcome? It is tempting to say, ‘I will know it when I see it,’ but that is not quite the case. While many organizational outcomes may indeed lend themselves to objective measurement, conclusive assessment of some of those outcomes can be paradoxical, as numerically explicit values may turn out to be surprisingly informationally ambiguous.
