Application Lifecycle Management
Chapter 12 explored the components of a SharePoint application including Web Parts, workflows, master pages, and themes. In Chapter 13, you learned how to compile these disparate components into SharePoint features and solution packages that could be deployed to a server farm in a controlled, updatable way. In this chapter, we will look at the processes that need to be in place to manage the teams that create and maintain SharePoint solutions. These processes, taken as a whole, are known as Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
