In the ideal world of the author, this book would be the main text for a two-semester sequence in Fourier analysis (possibly supplemented with some material on wavelets or applications of particular interest to the class). More realistically, it can serve as the text for a number of one-term courses on Fourier analysis. Here are brief descriptions of suggested material for two such single-semester courses: an “introductory course” and an “intermediate course” in Fourier analysis. The suggestions are based on courses regularly taught by the author. Naturally, individual instructors should make adjustments based on the needs, background, abilities and interests of their own students.
