The overriding goal is for the reader to gain a sufficiently deep understanding of the mathematics to confidently and intelligently employ “Fourier analysis” in the reader’s own work, be it in optics, quantum mechanics, electronics, systems analysis, vibrational analysis, the analysis of partial differential equations or any of the many other areas in which “Fourier analysis” can be usefully applied.
