COLLABORATION AND LEADERSHIP
As the producer and/or director, you’re the leader – the top dog in a hierarchical stack of departments, grouped by expertise. You say it, and it shall be done. At the same time, you’re a collaborator, a part of something that’s bigger than you, which you also serve as well as orchestrate: the film. Any successful leader knows that she’s only as good as the team supporting her. By the same token, the team will take its behavioral and ethical cues from the leader.
