Adjusting Effect Settings
Though a few effects don’t contain customizable properties (Black & White, for example), most have properties with values you can set. Depending on the effect, you can set these property values in the Effect Controls palette, a separate settings dialog box, or both.
As explained in the preceding section, some effects open a settings dialog box as soon as you apply them to a clip; others require you to open a settings dialog box. The following tasks focus on a few of the most common controls. But with the multitude of video and audio effects at your disposal, you’ll undoubtedly need to explore the possibilities on your own.
