microSD Card
The Pi can boot from microSD exFAT-formatted cards with storage up to 2 TB, but unless you plan on using your Pi for network-attached storage (NAS), I’ve found little need to expand beyond a 32 GB microSD card. That said, microSD cards are so inexpensive, with 128 GB cards costing below thirty dollars, that having extra space for media files, code repositories, and images can be useful. For example, the photo shows a 32 GB microSD card ready to be inserted into the bottom of a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B.
