As an employee of our organization, it is implicit that we take responsibility for doing our best for our employer. The opportunity to work with experienced external consultants helps us learn to increase our capability. However, we need to learn how to mediate between often-conflicting interests. This requires detailed consideration of the facts and the processes. To resolve this dilemma, we need to take constructive action rather than avoiding the problem.
Once we have learned how to resolve and avoid having consultants rule, we will be in a great position to help our organization maximize the benefits that can be gained from their intervention.
