The power vacuum can produce a major opportunity for us to demonstrate our capability. With our leader gone, the stability we were used to vanishes quickly. Adopting a positive and proactive attitude toward the power vacuum helps us to overcome the problems and exercise our political skills.
Others will notice the vacuum and may seek to take advantage. Being prepared for these moves helps us to build a robust response that minimizes any threats to our work and position. While it may not be possible to settle all of our concerns, taking deliberate and assertive action helps us to move forward quickly. By moving into the spotlight, we can be noticed and, who knows, we may be invited to fill the power vacuum more formally!
