Chapter 9. Policy Application Instances
Thus far in this book, the components that comprise a policy-based network management solution have been presented in isolation. This chapter looks at how all the various components can be combined to provide an integrated solution that can simplify the task of administering an IP network.
Some of the business needs that drive the deployment of different networking technologies were discussed in Chapter 3, "The Generic Provisioning Problem," which also discussed how they could be supported using the different networking technologies. This chapter shows how a policy-based solution is used to administer an IP network in the various environments described in Chapter 3.
