- 80–20 rule (also known as the Pareto Principle)
A principle that asserts that 80% of effects result from 20% of causes. The 80–20 rule, and the chart that visually depicts it, is intended to help individuals focus their efforts where there is the greatest likelihood of bringing about the desired change

- Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs)
According to Phil Crosby’s zero defect philosophy, acceptable quality levels refer to the acceptable level of errors that are sometimes permitted—and that thus preclude the possibility of fully attaining quality objectives through the “zero defects” standard that Crosby alternatively espoused.
