The Idea
Through the viewfinder (TtV) photography is, essentially, taking a picture of any subject through the viewfinder of any camera with another camera, I first came across a TtV photo back in April 2006, taken by Carrie Musgrave. Carrie's picture of a rusted out, abandoned streetcar had toy-camera qualities that film aficionados love-dark corners, blurred edges, and grunge-but it was taken with a digital camera through the ground-glass viewfinder of an old Yashica-A.

Using a macro lens on the top camera allows you to get extremely close to subjects.
