Introduction

The role of imagination and deliberate choices in the creation of future realities through entrepreneurial endeavor is, we contend, a surprisingly under-researched subject (Pittaway & Tunstall, 2016). Approaches that take an explicit ‘voluntaristic’ stance on human behavior and humankind’s ability to influence, mold and build the future in an explicit and deliberate way have not taken central stage in research on entrepreneurship (Grant & Perren, 2002).
