If you are an application class expert, feel free to skim this chapter and quickly move on to the next chapter. On the other hand, if you are new to application classes and object-oriented programming (OOP) in general, then consider this chapter to be an OOP primer. Through the examples in this book, you will learn enough about OOP concepts to create usable, productive application classes. Many of the examples in this book will build upon the application class fundamentals presented in this chapter.
