CHAPTER 3PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA)
This chapter addresses important architecture configurations that are the foundation of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture. In this chapter we will discuss the main configuration and the future of the middleware configuration that is currently used by some, but is more a future endeavor for most. When the PIA was first released, it was bleeding-edge technology that led to the integration of the application with the web. The future middleware tier will create a dynamic application that will allow a custom-configured Application Server with pick-and-choose functionality that will be released with the Fusion Application.
