As a coaching or mentoring practitioner, the quality of delivery and the experience that the client has with you is entirely in your hands. As an unregulated industry, coaching and mentoring relies upon you as a practitioner to come prepared to your engagements with the competency to consistently apply your skills in the moment: The capability to deliver what your Contract states over time and the capacity to reflect about yourself and the system in which you’re working. This involves regularly learning new skills, taking on board feedback, operating ethically, knowing your strengths and limitations and being adaptable to change in the moment.
