A shared belief of the three authors is that coaching and mentoring supervision enhances our reflective practice, which leads to increased competency, capability and capacity for practitioners. As the coaching and mentoring market matures internationally, we have noticed a drive towards consistent delivery. As a result, all the main professional coaching and mentoring bodies have competency frameworks. Some are now articulated at four levels of increasing complexity.
