The Director’s job is all about concentration. Concentration on the artists, concentration on interpreting the script and how a sequence is finally going to cut together on the screen, concentration on maintaining the mood to keep the audience absorbed, and so on. He or she has a great deal to think about.
For this reason it is of the utmost importance to the Director that all involved in the making of the picture, including the camera and sound crews, are efficient in themselves and are equipped in such a manner that they can give their best. The results of this will undoubtedly show on the screen.
