In Gratitude

I’ve never bought into the “self-made man” concept. We are all products of a genetic lottery and the people that touch our lives. I’m grateful for every person, every experience.

Much of this book was motivated and informed by my 27 years at UPS. Great relationships and talented leaders buoyed the highs and lows of my career. I’m especially indebted to Ross McCullough, who succumbed to my badgering and let me on his team looking at a new concept called e-commerce in the mid-90s, and Dr. Benn Konsynski, an Emory University Professor and advisor to UPS, who helped open my eyes to what’s possible.
