Now that we’ve discussed the basic technologies for defining business services and user interfaces, we now are ready to address the thorny issue of gluing the two together. In traditional J2EE applications, this implies creating a large amount of Java code to carry out tasks such as managing the location of and connection to business services, obtaining collections of data, mapping that data into the UI layer, and so on. One major benefit of using the ADF framework is that this task of binding the UI to the back-end business services is handled by the ADF Model (abbreviated in this book as ADFm) layer. ...
