Annotations are a tool that allows users of reports to make comments on the reports, from simple notations to full-fledged threaded discussions. If you know Hyperion Enterprise, think Data Extend on growth hormone and steroids. It is very cool.
This is a great tool. You can get people to get a jump on commentary, add notes, and do some other commentary that you could not do easily in HFM before. There is full support of annotations in Books, and read-only support of annotations in snapshot reports.
