CHAPTER 8Budget Tracking

EBS has several capabilities to fulfill budgeting requirements. At the most basic level, a budget can be loaded into the General Ledger, and FSG reporting can be used for Actual versus Budget reporting and analysis. For customers in the federal government, encumbrances and budgetary controls can be enabled, defining how the encumbrances relieve budgets, and whether the budget limits are warnings only or hard limits that cannot be exceeded. EBS also has several additional modules or products that provide more advanced budgeting features, including Hyperion and Enterprise Planning and Budgeting.
