Foreword

I’ve had a long history with the products that now make up Oracle Fusion Middleware, starting with joining the early WebLogic team, joining BEA via acquisition, leaving BEA to pursue some other ventures, and later joining Oracle just as it was acquiring BEA. During this time, I’ve watched the products evolve into a market-leading portfolio of middleware.

I now have the pleasure of leading a portion of the Middleware team, including a team that has responsibility for product managing software lifecycle features across the Fusion Middleware and Fusion Applications product lines.
