This chapter introduces the Oracle Platform Security Services (OPSS), which is a set of services used by all Fusion Middleware layered components. OPSS is built on top of the standards-based WebLogic Server security services, which we reviewed in Chapter 2. In this chapter, we explore the various services within OPSS and discuss the ways in which they can be used to secure enterprise applications.
