In this chapter, we’ll look at the JDBC API for accessing and manipulating SQL data, including the key metadata, the built-in SQL data types, LOBs, user-defined collections, Oracle object data types, XML type, Result Sets (scrollable, updatable), and rowsets (JdbcRowSet, CachedRowSet, WebRowSet, JoinRowSet and FilteredRowSet).
