Two approaches to computer-aided decision making are provided with this text: Excel OM and POM (Production and Operations Management) for Windows. These are the two most user-friendly software packages available to help you learn and understand operations management. Both programs can be used either to solve homework problems identified with an icon or to check answers you have developed by hand. Both software packages use the standard Windows interface and run on any IBM-compatible PC operating Windows XP or newer. Excel OM is also available for the Mac.
