Chapter 2

Loads on the Industrial Structures

Abstract

The philosophy for designing and constructing any structure is that is must have the capability to carry all the expected loads which will affect the structure along its lifetime. The structure’s probability of safety depends on the load fluctuations and the probability of increasing its value over the design value. The load that affect the structure shall be calculated precisely considering the equipment and plant mode of operations.
