Chapter 1
Meeting the Office Programs and Learning What They Do
In this chapter, you get up to speed with the Office programs and learn what you can do with each of them. We'll go over how to launch the programs, look quickly at the user interface features they share, and then talk about how to create, save, and reopen documents.
We'll use Microsoft Word for most of the chapter, as most people find Word the most approachable of the programs and it's included in every edition of Office 2010.
If you're already familiar with the Office programs, feel free to skip straight ahead to Chapter 2.
