Working with Text
Even in this photo- and video-friendly world, most of your Office documents will contain text—and likely plenty of it. In this chapter, I'll show you how to work with text in the Office programs. Text is easy to work with, once you've learned some straightforward conventions, and the techniques you need are largely the same in all the programs.
First, we'll look at how you enter text using the keyboard or other means, such as having your PC transcribe the words you speak or read the text from a hardcopy document. Next, we'll cover navigating your documents with the keyboard, and applying direct formatting to text and other objects.
