Identifying Installation Options and Differences
With all the preliminary checks and information covered, you have two decisions to make: which installer to use and how to configure your disk if you’re installing to bare metal. For each decision you have a few options.
Installer Images
Oracle provides three installation images for the Solaris 11/11 release, as shown in Table 1-3.
