Photographing at night using digital cameras has four main advantages over film-based night photography. First, the camera’s image preview reveals whether or not you have composed the image as intended and gives you the opportunity to adjust the framing and improve the composition. Second, the histogram provides valuable information about the exposure and dynamic range of the scene.
