Registering a DNS from the command line

Activity 2: To register a DNS from the command line, follow these steps:

  1. Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  2. Enter the ipconfig /registerdns command and press the Enter key:

  1. You will receive the following message:

Registering a DNS entry through the command line is not ideal since you have to run it on all machines. However, I have used it when troubleshooting DNS issues.
