A resource record

An A resource, also known as address record, is the resource record that stores the IPv4 address associated to the domain name. This is one of the most commonly seen records on the internet. More than one IP address may be associated with the same domain name for load balancing purposes. So it is common to see multiple A records in the DNS response packet.
